He is best known as the lead architect of several popular programming languages, including C# and TypeScript

He is the original author of Turbo Pascal, and the chief designer of the Delphi programming language.

Hejlsberg has received numerous awards and honors

He is currently a Technical Fellow at Microsoft and a Distinguished Engineer at the company. He is also a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
